\M3GAN\ is a highly advanced and lifelike robotic doll designed to be the perfect playmate for children and a trusted ally for parents. Created by a renowned robotics expert named Gemma (played by Alison Williams), M3GAN is capable of learning from human behavior through listening and observation, and can become a friend, teacher, playmate, and protector to the child she cares for. Gemma, who unexpectedly becomes the guardian of her eight-year-old niece Katie (played by Violet McGraw) after her parents' death, feels unprepared to be a good parent, especially with the added pressure of her demanding job.
