《布袋和尚新传》以民间流 传的弥勒佛的故事为主线，全剧分为 莲花开、迷心劫、仙侣缘、舍利劫等 多个单元，讲述弥勒佛转世，在人间 修行的故事。布袋和尚前世弥勒佛生 性狂放不羁，蔑视一切清规戒律，尤 不喜天庭的陈腐教条。他因冲撞玉帝 被佛祖派到凡间修行。布袋和尚除恶 扬善，运用自己的智慧，与世间的邪 恶势力斗智、斗勇，拯救百姓于苦难 之中，受到百姓的尊敬爱戴。一句“大 肚能容，容天下难容之事；开口便 笑，笑世上可笑之人”，便是布袋和尚 的真实写照。 展开全部
